Termite / WDI Inspection
A termite/WDI inspection is a separate service from your home inspection. Request it through our office when scheduling your home inspection in Kentucky or Indiana, and let us know about any required transaction paperwork.
Before booking: Confirm the qualified provider who will perform and sign the WDI inspection, applicable credentials, inspection scope and required transaction forms for the property before booking. Your WDI inspection may be performed by a separate qualified provider.
What is a WDI inspection?
WDI means wood-destroying insect. The service checks for visible evidence within the agreed inspection scope. It is different from a general home inspection and should not be assumed to include pest treatment or a guarantee that concealed activity is absent.
Match the service to your transaction
If a lender, contract or other party requests a termite or WDI report, obtain its exact requirements and share them before booking. A general home-inspection report is not a substitute for a required WDI form.
- Provide the property address and state.
- Identify any required form, recipient or transaction deadline.
- Confirm the qualified provider, scope, fee and scheduling arrangements.
- Ask whether any follow-up or treatment is separate.
Kentucky and Indiana arrangements
Tell our office the property’s state and any required transaction documents before booking. Confirm the qualified provider, inspection scope and scheduling arrangements for your property. A general home-inspection report does not replace a required WDI report.
Common questions
Is a termite inspection included in the home inspection?
No. WDI is a separate service. Request it specifically and confirm any documentation your transaction requires.
Will the inspection prove there are no insects anywhere?
No. Visible evidence and accessible areas have limits. Confirm the WDI provider’s scope and exclusions rather than treating the report as a guarantee about concealed conditions.
Does the inspection include treatment?
Do not assume treatment, repairs or a pest warranty are included. Confirm those services and their provider separately.
