The standard follows the property’s state
Kentucky: Home inspections follow the InterNACHI Standards of Practice.
Indiana: Home inspections follow Indiana minimum standards of competent performance (878 IAC 1-2-1).
These standards are distinct. A home inspection evaluates accessible systems and components within its scope; it is not a guarantee that every defect will be discovered.
