A Camera View Beneath the Floor

The space beneath a floor can be difficult to reach. Our Wombat Crawlbot can provide a camera view beneath the home where conditions allow, helping Eddie evaluate and document visible crawlspace conditions when direct access is unsafe or difficult. Access and visibility limitations still apply. The images support Eddie’s inspection; the robot does not make the inspection decisions.
A useful view—not unlimited access
A camera may show visible framing, piping and other components within its view. It cannot see through insulation, walls, stored material or other obstructions. Clearance, obstacles and site conditions can restrict the route and what is visible. A successful camera pass does not mean every part of the crawlspace was inspected.
What to look for in the report
Read the description of how the crawlspace was evaluated, the observations and any access limitations together. Photos help explain the report; they are not a complete condition record by themselves. If more access or specialist evaluation is recommended, ask what the next step should be before making a decision.
Questions before the inspection
Let the office know about known crawlspace access concerns when scheduling. Ask where the access is located and coordinate with the property owner. Do not enter an unsafe space or clear hazards yourself for the sake of the inspection.
The photograph is context, not a diagnosis
Our under-floor image illustrates a camera viewpoint. It does not establish that a particular defect exists, that the entire space was accessible, or that every property can be inspected the same way. The photograph shows a crawlspace view captured with our earlier Marten Crawlbot. The Wombat is now our featured equipment, and access and visibility limitations still apply.
Inspection standards
Kentucky inspections follow the InterNACHI Standards of Practice. Indiana inspections follow the Indiana minimum standards of competent performance (878 IAC 1-2-1). The applicable standard depends on the property’s state.
